Obligatory - please don't use the language "differently abled". Disabled is not a dirty word and using euphemisms just adds to the stigma.

When it was first implemented, in the trial phase, yes. The participants met with Planners directly, often multiple times, and bespoke packages were made to support that individual's unique needs and goals.

Then there was a change of govt during the rollout to "Full Scheme" and it all went wrong.

Aww! Well, you definitely deserve it, so I hope you're having a little celebration about it ๐Ÿ˜

For someone entirely disconnected from the space - the other three awards are pretty self explanatory, but what is the Tee-Posey actually about? Congrats regardless! ๐Ÿ˜…

I have seen a magician who's done this. Sure, it's a lifelong investment in a single trick... But it's a GOOD trick

I am also choosing to interpret them as charming cartoon dog bones. Because that is a better universe to live in.

Sometimes I start to fool myself into believing I've got this whole chronic illness thing under pretty good control these days.

And then reality likes to remind me HAHAHA NO.

Yesterday I was SO GOOD. I followed all the doctor's orders and protected my injured knee and focused on resting instead of squeezing the last drop out of every spoon I can find and/or steal.

And so, of course, it's now 2am and I have a tesla coil for a brain.

I know a (hearing) guy whose parents were both Deaf. He says he thinks in Auslan, because it was the language he learned first and still uses most.

Blow your 11yo's mind by telling them that some people don't think in language at all. Some think in pictures, connections and networks, shapes and textures, or with even more abstract concepts.

But if a deaf person thinks in language, and sign is their main language, then yes.

Attempting to campfire-fire a wobbly little clay bowl I made out of wild clay from the wedding site. It hasn't immediately exploded, so it's already doing better than the last one. #WildClay #Campfire

A shoulders-up photo of a male chick with orange-and-black feathers. He's got a big silly crest and sideburns growing, which indicates he carries "Easter Egger" genes.

A photo of two chicks, one male and one female, standing side-on to the camera. The male has a big silly crest growing that looks like a mohawk from this angle.

Sounds about right. It's the thrift equivalent of the craft supply store always having everything *except* the one item you went in for.

I call on State Govt to mark IWD by committing to a comprehensive Budget gender impact statement detailing how any cuts to services, funding or jobs have been assessed for potential impacts on women/girls/gender-diverse Tasmanians.

Someone should tell them to up their game. If your species can only happily live at a 1:7 sex ratio, maybe y'all shouldn't be reproducing at worse-than-1:1??

Right?! I don't know how many clutches my girls have hatched over the past few years, but the best I've *ever* done is 50-50. Mostly it's roosters. Where are all the girls?! ๐Ÿ˜‚
