2026 has hit me like I didn't quite expect. New depths of chronic illness, job loss, my most devastating break up to date, and still cohabitating with my ex even now.
If anyone has any book recs, I've been heavy into audiobooks to get me through packing.📦🪄✨

It would be, but she doesn't think of that at all. She's a very head-in-the-clouds kind of ruler, more interested in gossip and fashion than she is ruling. Though later on she does get some suspicions (after some major spoiler events, hehe)

Odelyna is cautious but also very difficult to befriend as she often prefers solitude. We don't really mention friends for her aside from her lover, Janett.
Acelyna is far more open and trusting, and loves to gossip with her "court of friends" and since she's the empress, everyone loves her

I'd say RUTH, who is the governess/lead servant for a prince (in my fantasyWIP), is the most cheerful out of my 6 FMCs. Mostly bc she gets to learn more about the local religion as she arrives in the capital, and she's super curious & eager to find out more about it.
Not at first but she later discovers how interested she is in all the different religions and gods across the realm!

there are so many books I need to read and not enough hours in the day
I've said it before and I'll say it again there are better stories about wizards, or mage academies, or chosen ones and Great Old Evils. It is by no means a genre owned or created by that evil slug woman. There are so many better books that explore those concepts WAY better.
