This doesn’t mean physical touch isn't important to him, but I think that part of the relationship would develop more carefully. To me, Angel’s main love language, particularly with Husk, is spending time together and feeling enriched simply being in the presence of his friends.

Angel eventually comes to realize that there are people who truly care about him and want to be around him, who aren’t going to cast him out the second he stops being “useful”. He's free to be his authentic self with those who value him, support him, and enjoy his company.

Angel thrives on being with his friends, whether they're chattin, sharing memes, or just chillin. It’s one of the only safe spaces for him, hence why he spends all his time there instead of V Tower with people who wouldn’t give him the time of day unless he was servicing them.

Physical touch comes with a sense of obligation for him, and I’m willing to bet the only healthy physical affection he’s experienced in hell is from his friends at Hazbin. (With Husk, Angel has actually become LESS touchy because they’ve formed a genuine bond and he wants to respect that.)

We see him being touchy with Husk and other characters a lot in s1, but typically he's rejected or it's transactional. We later discover during the Loser Baby scene that coming on strong and being overtly promiscuous is something he feels like he “needs” to be in order to cope.

Physical touch is part of Angel Dust’s everyday life as a sex worker. It’s used to his advantage as much as it’s used against him, and more than half the time he doesn’t really have a choice in the matter.

Posting this Hazbin hot take(?) here too! I’ve seen a lot of fans say that Angel Dust’s love language would be physical touch, but I don’t think that’s quite accurate. I think his primary love language is quality time, and I’ll explain why… 🧵
