Hand Anderson's Fairy Tales & Diane Purkiss' Troublesome Things on a very messy coffee table littered with notebooks, books, reading light, dubbin, tea light holders, pens and the usual other detritus of a very cosy life.

We have been out out and even though we had to leave a brilliant talk by @janetanderson.bsky.social at the halftime break, we got to hear a fabulous eye -opening take on The Little Mermaid and now look at what I had on the bookshelf right next to each other!

Yes! Ours were little 'cut glass' bowls that had straight sides and jaggy knobbly bottoms. Sometimes they were used for tinned fruit cocktail & evaporated milk.

I am very much led by the clinicians. I try and occupy a liminal space where I use their expertise and save their time, so that we can save them even more time which can then be passed onto improving patient care. I couldn't love it more.

Project manager :) Various iterations through print, copy & design; mobile telecoms; IT - specialising in clinical applications & infrastructure and recently moved into supporting more specialist clinical 'whole area' improvements. Basically I fart about with lists. Many many lists.

Mint Velvet green shirt with lovely lacing down the sleeves that isn't visible here (John Lewis); Mint Velvet black sleeveless jersey top, poplin skirt sleeveless dress (John Lewis); black patent brogues (Vinted); green amber & silver necklace (designed by me, made by jeweller in Warsaw). Red lipstick for when I need to boss it (Lidl - IKR?!) Or fake it til I'm feeling it. Either works.

I'll see if I can find the pattern later. If you like I can trace mine off and send it to you?

2 days ago 0 0 1 0

Yup. I had it in my cupboard for 20 years before I dared do anything with it. I've another length of silk - sweet peas that I was still mulling over. Now I know: make another of these! It's a Vogue pattern. I cut it far too big (cut for actual bust not top bust), so it drops off my shoulders untied.

Liberty silk kimono-style jacket (me); Merchant & Mills navy linen tunic dress (Vinted - came as a very sad & crumpled grey - Dylon to the rescue again), M&S white leather trainers (Vinted). I've worn the Liberty thing more in the last 6 weeks than in the previous 6 years since I made it. Going to look at making another but have a mountain of alterations to do first. And a skirt to finish. And another to start. Etc, etc, etc.

#WhatIsDottyWearingToday At home, far too tired for a 6 hour round journey to the goat festival (headline act in local weekly newspaper). Sewing then transplanting beetroot, rainbow chard & lettuces. MrC will be helping with compost & chickling protection. Doreen. It's always Doreen.
