The #wnba Toronto Tempo casually taking in a #pwhl Toronto Sceptres game.

It’s so hard to remember who’s who, is he the who called players reptiles?

Super happy for Sunny Bhai. The brown business/comp sci nerds who secretly only care about sports finally have our hero. And people will hopefully learn that NJ/Edison is as brown as Brampton lol

I’m putting those reasons on all three of the men I mentioned, btw. They all did multiple of those things.

Dubas was a young GM who made his mistakes with the team. Lost Hyman, Brown, Marchment, others. He also was blocked from making moves he wanted to make by Shanahan. After he left, things still could’ve worked out but Treliving was aimless and timid (to put it bluntly). He let the roster wither away.

There are many answers that all built on each other that got us here.

A steady loss of talent
A coach that forced a reliance on goaltending and sh%
Not working to players strengths (Rielly, Knies, Matthews)
Bad team building analysis/execution (Domi signing, terrible TDLs, no midseason moves)

Yup. A coach can do a lot for shot share. Whether that turns goals is down to talent and other factors.

The Leafs shot share was 52% in the last two years of Keefe and 47% in the first year of Bérubé with almost completely the same roster.

For the third category, a lot of kids don’t want to go on vacation and miss a week of school… but “it’s cheaper”.

A fourth category I’ll add that’s huge is non-Christian holy days.

This is a real issue that puts strain on all areas of education. From personal experience the reasons are skipping, illness, vacation (esp. g10 and below). I understand connecting it to grades, but I would be hesitant to do so in such a blunt way in grades 11 and 12.

... so buy-in was an issue.

I knew what this was before I even turned on the sound!

a snippet of a mini-comic, at top - straight line stretches from point A to B. Immediately below, same dot at A, then becomes a curving, meandering line that winds through the page and ends at a point with rays and a question mark emanating from it. Text reads: "Nothing can do this for you - for that robs you of experience and conflates answers with learning. Rather, it's all the decisions you make along the way, the mistakes, struggles, and surprises! These pathways you create - this is learning.

Scientists invented a fake disease. AI told people it was real Bixonimania doesn’t exist except in a clutch of obviously bogus academic papers. So why did AI chatbots warn people about this fictional illness?

A researcher invented a disease called “bixonimania” and wrote clearly bogus articles on Medium and arXiv about it, referencing Starfleet Academy, Sideshow Bob, and the Fellowship of the Ring. Within months, major AI apps were diagnosing users with bixonimania.

From what I read it was how Treliving handled the deadline is what got him fired. The fact is, it always takes too long to fire incompetent people because they shouldn’t have been hired in the first place.

I thought the questions to Rielly today were unfair and I felt bad for him.

Exactly, the “he’s bad” probably comes from points. And great offensive defenders don’t look so great when the players they’re passing to flub the play or in this case they never get a chance to hold the puck.

He has a 2 y/o with Tessa and she’s from Ontario. I also don’t see how a contender would take him with term. He should stay.

His only two negative player rating years by HV have been under Bérubé lol. There’s no point in selling low on a career Leaf and leader like him. Especially at his cap hit, it’s totally fine at this point.

Idk how you player evaluate this year. I don’t know how they didn’t fire him months ago so they could answer that question.

Today, as we celebrate the defeat of Viktor Orbán in the Hungarian election, let’s pay tribute to Seb Vettel, who famously wore this #SameLove T-shirt during the 2021 #F1 #HungarianGP weekend, to protest the anti-#LGBTQ+ laws introduced by Orbán’s government at that time. 🌈

Consider the negative impact that would happen to a fact-finding company if they tried to be biased. Also consider the severity of accusing one of these companies of conflict of interest without any evidence.
