A large, ornate brick building with a vertical Paramount sign and a marquee advertising "Les Misérables."
A brightly lit "BOX OFFICE" sign hangs above a marquee at a theater, with a crowd of people waiting in line below.
Ornate lobby of a theater with marble columns, gilded ceilings, and ornate chandeliers, with a crowd of people gathered near a staircase and bar.
A large audience seated in a grand, ornate theater with illuminated ceiling domes.
Day 109 of my #365project. Four more from my visit to The Paramount Theatre, built in 1928, in Seattle, WA to see Cameron Mackintosh’s production of Les Misérables last night. I am so happy this cast was the first live performance of the show for me. They were phenomenal.

A color-coded map titled “Transportation project ideas in Graham Street Station Area Planning Phase 2 Survey.” The map shows a one-mile radius around the proposed Graham Street light rail station in Seattle’s South Seattle neighborhoods, including Brighton, Columbia City, and Othello. Five types of proposed transportation improvements are shown: a Multimodal Corridor along S Graham Street (orange); Neighborhood Greenways along S Dawson Street, S Morgan Street, and 42nd Avenue S (dark green); Pedestrian Improvements near the proposed station and along 32nd and 33rd Avenues S (yellow); Bicycle and Pedestrian Crossings along S Orcas Street (cyan); and a Transit and Pedestrian Crossing along Rainier Avenue S (purple). The map includes a north arrow and a scale bar showing 0.5 miles.
SDOT & OPCD are asking for community input on the Graham Station area—focused on improving walking, biking, transit access, & public space around the neighborhood.
If you live, work, or travel through the area, this is a chance to weigh in.

Sorry folks. #CatnamedYoda will not be talking to humans today. I honestly don’t blame him.

Day 106 of my #365project. Another doctor’s appointment. Just a follow up with my new naturopath PCP. Very grateful I’ll be able to keep her when the insurance for my new job kicks in. A doctor that truly listens is a gift.

A close-up, low-angle view of two young maple trees in early spring. Delicate clusters of tiny yellow-green flowers and reddish buds are emerging on thin branches, interspersed with newly unfurling, pale green leaves. The trunks are slender and brown, with the foreground trunk showing a rough texture and a pruned branch stub. The background is a hazy, pale sky, with some darker evergreen foliage visible in the distance.
Day 105 of my #365project. Needed a walk today after dealing with my taxes. Stopped to admire this young Norway Maple in Bothell, WA.

Just sent my free Federal tax return with FreeTaxUSA. I've used them for several years with no issues. If your State has income tax you can file a return then for a fee but you don't have to. I just do Federal. Fuck TurboTax. Fuck Trump. Fuck all my taxes going to wars nobody wants. Hate it all.

Two weathered mailboxes stand at the edge of a paved road and sidewalk, one teal with significant rust streaks and an abstract painted scene of birdhouses and foliage on the top, the other a faded red newspaper holder beneath the teal mailbox.

A close-up overhead shot of a sage green bowl filled with a creamy orzo pasta dish mixed with white beans, diced tomatoes, spinach, and feta cheese. A silver spoon rests in the bowl, partially submerged in the pasta. The dish is presented on a dark, speckled granite countertop.
Day 102 of my #365project. Anyone remember when I did cooking videos on TikTok for a bit? Baked feta and tomato pasta was all the rage then. Whipped up some today with white beans, spinach, and orzo. Still a great recipe and only one pan.

The moon is a day or two past full, huge, and it of focus with a little bird flying across its top left edge
Last week as the moon was setting, I photographed this red-winged blackbird flying across it. It felt extra special knowing the crew of Artemis II was up there at the time!! 🪶🌕

Day 101 of my #365project. The rain returned today. Here is a look back from a recent sunny boat ride through Lake Union in Seattle, WA. The iconic Space Needle can be seen in the middle. Water, mountains, evergreens and Space Needle views will never get old.

Artemis II Return
NASA's Orion spacecraft carrying Artemis II Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, and Mission Specialist Christina Koch from NASA, along with Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen from the CSA (Canadian Space Agency), splashes down in the Pacific Ocean near San Diego, California, at 5:07 p.m. PDT, (8:07 p.m. EDT) on Friday, April 10, 2026. The Artemis II test flight launched on Wednesday, April 1, from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida to begin its 10-day journey around the Moon for scientific discovery, economic benefits, and to build on our foundation for the first crewed missions to Mars. NASA’s Landing and Recovery team and the U.S. military are coordinating efforts to extract the Artemis II crew from the Orion spacecraft. Credit: NASA/Josh Valcarcel

A helicopter hovering low over the “front porch” raft to pick up an astronaut. The propeller is making huge circular waves radiating out from the raft
An astronaut and a crew recovery person dangling over the ocean from the helicopter hoist
There are certainly good reasons for every step in the crew recovery process but at this point it feels like they’re just putting the astronauts through as many of the most dramatic methods of transportation they can think of in one day
