We have armed secret police kidnapping people off the street based on the color of their skin.

When we win: we will haul them before a Senate committee. The masks will come off. There will be consequences.

I’m a US citizen and a veteran. ICE arrested me for no reason. Jailed for three days without an explanation or ability to notify anyone, George Retes argues the only path to healing starts with the government taking accountability for its actions.

“I spent three nights and three days in federal custody. During that time, I was never told what I was charged with, was not allowed to shower despite being covered in tear gas and pepper spray, had no phone call to my family, and no access to an attorney.” - George Retes, U.S. citizen and veteran.

St Fagans: Bronze Age gold jewellery stolen from musuem Police are investigating a burglary at St Fagans museum in the early hours of Monday morning.

Awful news from Wales, the St Fagan's Museum has been broken into and prehistoric goldwork has been taken. Its painful to think what objects might now be at risk. Thoughts with the museum team who must be devastated, all speed to the police and a curse on the crooks.

This is a lie.

There are many criticisms you might sensibly and truthfully make of the Sentencing Council and the Sentencing Guidelines. I’ve been making them for years.

But this is an outright lie. Pure fabrication. A fraud on the public.

You're looking at a large yellow gold beast, AKA a kiwi cheese scone, sitting on a white stoneware plate. It dominates the plate and the small bowl featuring two hefty triangles of butter next to it. If you were to lift this scone, you would feel its heft. This scone sees cheese and says give me more! You know that if you tapped the top of this scone it would make an ominous hollow sound that, if you know your cheese scones, promises a delicious crunchy top with a soft interior. Also on this table, admiring this scone is a yellow tea cup sitting on a blue saucer. A frankly inferior looking stainless steel teapot and milk jug containing just enough brew to wash down the scone. Elsewhere on the table is a comedic book from 1936 about Gardening and my notebook that I was using to jot spotted notes. It's brown covered and nondescript, unlike the scone of might. Which is easy to descript. It is majestic.

BEHOLD the majesty of the Kiwi cheese scone. This scone isn't here for a fancy tea. This scone has come to rumble. This scone demands MORE butter. This scone has OPINIONS about jam. This scone is three square meals and elevenses. This scone has HEFT.
You do not eat this scone. You experience it.

Police investigate break in at much-loved national museum Museum officials after expressed their shock at the 'targeted attack'

If you are offered pieces of gold Bronze Age jewellery by a bloke down the pub, police in St Fagan’s would appreciate a call following a burglary at the National Museum Of History.

Yesterday: imagine managing to get the last seat on a packed train even in 1st class, just to be confronted by a frail 75+ White man who decided that the only Black person in the carriage (and NOT the only person who got on that carriage) couldn't possibly have a 1st class ticket.

My book is about how Nazis got power, how they kept it, & how to fight it—how we fought it then, how we can now. Nazis weren’t a foregone conclusion. They were not inevitable. They want you to think so—convince you they already won so you quit fighting. Because they know they can’t win otherwise.

My photo shows a Roman-era wooden toy sword made from oak. It is dark brown in colour, displayed against a cream and pale green background. It is carved to look like an adult sword, with a semi-circular handle, a blade with pointed tip, and a semi-circular guard embellished with a centrally-set oval polished stone. The wood is remarkably well-preserved except for a break across the hilt. Excavated in 2017 from the cavalry barracks at Vindolanda, a fort on the Roman Empire’s northern frontier. Dated c. AD 120.

At almost 2,000 years old, this child’s wooden toy sword is a remarkable survival from Roman times!

Found in the living quarters of the cavalry barracks at Vindolanda fort in 2017. Dated c.120 AD. Chesterholm Museum 📷 by me

Starmer to end asylum ‘golden ticket’ of resettlement and family reunion rights People granted asylum will have to earn right to invite family in plan charities call ‘straight from populist playbook’

People recognised as refugees fleeing persecution & granted the right to live in the UK to be denied the right to be joined safely by their spouse & children.

This Labour govt is a moral void, a stinking darkness, an empty hollow of cowardice & contempt. #r4today www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

I remember being told that it would take 193 years to reach legal limits for nitrogen dioxide.

I decided this was unacceptable.

Thanks to the bold policies we put in place, we've managed to do it in nine years - 184 years earlier than expected.

Some good news.

London is meeting legal limits for toxic NO2 pollution for the first time – almost 200 years earlier than predicted – following the Mayor’s "world leading air pollution policies," City Hall announces.

The Ultra Low Emissions Zone - and similar policies - really do work.
