I was originally a little weirded out by the voice, but got used to it pretty quick. I absolutely love how he sounds now... just the perfect amount of quirky for Director Dorkness.

Project X Zone 2's localization is a good example. In the original Japanese version, Xiaomu's jokes were wordplay puns; in the English version, they were changed to funny references about anime, video games and western media.

I own several anime series with Finnish subs, but I don't think any of them have translator's notes attached. ...Then again, you don't necessarily need translator's notes for an anime where it's just a bunch of talking dogs fighting a giant bear. Not a lot of culture you can throw in there.

Case in point, Moonvale by Everbyte. They were amazing with Duskwood... and then came AI-riddled Moonvale. It has to be some kind of record to go from A-class game to rock bottom within two games.
