Bryan “Smirkin’ Son of a Bitch” Smolinski?

This might be one of the best examples of the Dunning-Kruger effect I’ve seen in a lot time.
It is something that hasn’t been solved for and isn’t close to being solved for anytime soon.
You have zero expertise in this area and are completely out of your depth.
Oh man… if that’s what it should be for game 1… the pop is going to be insane
Oooooh I hope you’re really spiteful and willing to spend a lot of time making them regret it.
This should be the only type of posting allowed on social media.
A joke image of the Bluesky create account/sign in screen with sign in text replaced with “Unverify Jerry”
Hmm
I always forget about your computer science background 😬
For more reliability and verifiability, have it write code to do it instead. Then you can audit and refine, and be more confident it didn’t make up data. (Unless that’s what you did and it was implied 🙈)
Kinda thought it was Pat Kaleta for a minute
I always wondered how the ski free monster AI worked.
That last line is so good I want to borrow it for future use.
“No Bands Playing, No Flags Flying” ?
It's also possible he goes with "they actually said I can do what I want" approach for this one. He's been fond of that lately.
Anti-AI psychosis is real.
It's getting almost as bad as the AI hype bros insisting it's going to replace everything and we have AGI.
Really well written.
Why do you think it’s no longer an open site? I understand and appreciate the skepticism of any VC funding, but it doesn’t have to be a foregone conclusion
(One more)
So Bain made a big bet on web3 and it seems to have largely been a flop.
This seems to be a big bet on a tech that uses some of the tech from web3 (eg IPFS) and some of the concepts and learnings, but has more public traction (atproto, via Bluesky)
Bain Capital Crypto purports to invest in “open internet infrastructure”. While this does appear to include crypto currency (bleh!!), it also includes web3 and web3 adjacent technologies, which revolves around decentralized and open internet technologies.
So there is alignment there.
Having crypto in their name was an awful choice.
Anyway their vision does align, if you take some things at face value (fair to not):
Bluesky is built on atproto which is a huge play on a more decentralized and open web (way oversimplified)

I bet it would be of great use to @surf.social !
@kissane.myatproto.social with a beautiful talk to open #atmosphereconf
Weird how it’s rarely mentioned the people actually talking about the end of software devs are either people selling AI solutions or AI hype artists.
Every single person in there is 38 years old, I presume.
If a Jerry gets verified in the atmosphere and no one has access to see it, does it make Jerry post good?
Hopefully @atprotocol.dev can bring it back closer to 2006 😭
But that uses so many Brain Tokens.
Makes you miss twit— ahahaha no. Anytime I check that hellsite it defaults to for you and all I see is garbage exactly like that.
Yeah I meant the silly part is people using an ai grifter account as any source of truth of anything
Ugh about as silly as this bsky.app/profile/chri...
