Saturday (15th) was my birthday, but it was also the day a Grey Phalarope, my long-standing nemesis and bogey bird was found on KGV Res. What a birthday treat to finally see one of these spinny fuckers @gdh56.bsky.social π I did have to wait until yesterday to get point blank views though!

Yes, they will be Common Buzzards. Honey Buzzards are rare/scarce migrants with a small breeding population in the UK.
Couldn't quite believe our eyes yesterday when @gdh56.bsky.social and I spotted this Honey Buzzard flying over #WalthamstowWetlands yesterday afternoon at 14:50. A full-fat liferβ for me too! Still absolutely buzzing!! @birdguides.bsky.social #londonbirds #UKbirding

Some of the local wildlife in Enfield last week on Vicarage Farm. Always great to catch up with Whinchat as they pass through, hoping for Redstart next, especially as we didn't get any autumn birds last year on patch. #londonbirds @rspb.bsky.social #enfield #saveenfieldgreenbelt #lowcarbonbirding

Hi @mothiduk.bsky.social apologies for poor phone pic, is this a twin spotted Quaker?
Absolutely brilliant to catch up with Spotted Flycatchers that have bred locally to me (Enfield) for the first time since 2018, despite taking fall damage while trying to get the perfect shot... (look where you're stepping folks!) @birdguides.bsky.social @rspb.bsky.social #londonbirds
Hi @mothiduk.bsky.social I'm not certain on these two? Thanks
