The antidote for despair is action ❤️

* Dial (202) 224-3121
* Enter zip code
* Leave voicemail
* Say “My name is ___, I’m a constituent in [town]. (If clinician/scientist, say so)

“The NIH freeze harms research and patients and must be lifted immediately.”

Be brief. Staffers tally all calls. Go! ✅

Big shout out to our valued colleagues at the #NIH, #FDA, & #CDC. Each person that I've worked with has been smart, hardworking, and committed to the health of our country. While it would be shocking if we agreed with every decision or process, these colleagues have earned and retain my trust.

Sally and I had front row seats to Itzhak Perlman this week. Seeing every micro-emotion on his face as he played was almost as beautiful as his music. Didn't think about politics once for over 3 hours! #arts #music

Encourage #postdocs interested in #biotech to read this article. Some academic centers are trying to fill the de-risking space. Hope these added costs and labor are recognized when companies spin out so that the practice is rewarded enough to be sustainable.
