Using Hungarian public money – funnelled through legally insulated foundations partly funded by Russian oil revenues – Orbán has built a cross-border network of populist right think tanks, journalists and activists.

The Texas SBOE had chosen an unusual and radically restructured new framework that significantly reduces coverage of US and world history in the standards.

For more information about the ongoing TEKS revision and the implications of these changes, check out the AHA’s Field Guide:

Great thought. We can put all those who committed war crimes there too.

What does that tweet even mean?
I must be very dense. I’ll look through the comments for clarification.

That is true. I agree with you on that point. Then should we credit ChatGTP for the writing or the company that developed ChatGPT? Does ChatGPT become a person under copyright law? How would a creator sue ChatGPT for infringement? So many questions.

While reading these posts, I started thinking about copyright law. Say a writer uses ChatGPT to write, the writer says “wow that is good”. The writer tinkers around changing a word here or there. Who should be given credit for the writing? Who should own the copyrights? Anything being plagiarized?🤔

Bernie Sander’s 2028 litmus test would strangle America’s golden goose

Bernie Sander’s 2028 litmus test would strangle America’s golden goose

Surprise! The Jeff Bezos-owned Washington Post is against my 5% billionaire wealth tax. I wonder why?

If enacted, Bezos would owe $12 billion in taxes, and an average family of 4 would receive a $12,000 direct payment.

Poor Jeff would be left with just $224 billion to survive.

Pam Bondi Always Knew This Day Was Coming Trump fired Pam Bondi, apparently on Wednesday night, before addressing the country about the war in Iran.

Firing Pam Bondi doesn’t change the sweetheart deal Ghislaine Maxwell got in exchange for saying she never saw Trump doing anything wrong. For all we know, there’s a pardon or a commutation in the works, too. open.substack.com/pub/joycevan...

3 April 1967: Barbican workers strike On this day, 3 April 1967 construction firm Myton, assisted by the police and the construction workers' union National Federation of Building Trades Operatives, attempted to bring in a scab workforce to replace unofficial strikers who were demanding reinstatement of victimised worker activists on the Barbican site in London. The strikers had been out for 6 months, and were threatened with expulsion from their union (which would also cost them jobs in closed shop sites). A union official who tried to support the workers was sacked by the union. Still the workers held out for over 7 more months against the employers, the unions and the police but were eventually forced to give in.  More information and sources: https://stories.workingclasshistory.com/article/10152/myton-buses-in-barbican-scabs

ORACLE'S LARRY ELLISON: “Citizens will be on their best behavior” with AI surveillance systems

"We're constantly recording and reporting everything that's going on."

Welcome to the dystopian AI surveillance state. @NicHulscher

This guy is just a fool. We don’t need AI to tell us that what Trump is doing is illegal. Does he think AI will put Trump and his cronies on their best behavior. AI used in surveillance will only become another tool for a police state and people like Trump.

After a great kickoff in Kings County, I’m headed to San Luis Obispo for the next installment of our statewide Town Hall series!

I’m running to represent every Californian, and that means listening to your ideas firsthand. Join me to discuss our path forward. See you there!

Why are we okay with 18% of our healthcare premiums going to administrative overhead, marketing, and CEO bonuses?

That’s money stripped from our nurses, our hospitals, and our families.

California can—and must—do better.

I miss hearing you question witnesses while you were in congress on committees. Loved your style. Californians will be lucky to have you as Governor.

In general, with computer systems or even in our education systems throughout history, our credo must be “garbage in, garbage out”. Simply stated. AI is no different.
