At long last @beancross.bsky.social have officially been awarded their GOLD Sports Scotland Award for their effort & commitment to developing sport within the school.

We are now only the 7th school in Falkirk, including secondaries, to be award this level of School Sport Award.

We enjoyed watching Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone after reading the book in class. We used some of our enterprise profits to buy some movie snacks ☺️

We enjoyed playing different maths games to revise times tables and the addition of 2 and 3 digit numbers. 😀➕👏

We have been loving our maths stations . This week we have been adding and subtracting thousands, hundreds and tens and learning how to find the missing number to 100 with the jigsaw numbers approach 🧩➕➖😀

Phases of the Moon 🌒
This week we have been learning about the moon and its movements. Today we enjoyed recreating the phases of the moon using Oreos and got to eat some too 😋

As part of Practical Science STEM week we learned about dissolving. We were intrigued to find out what other materials dissolved and carried out some further experiments 🧑‍🔬 We tried dissolving coffee, salt, sugar and flour in both hot and cold water.
