“Oregonians deserve to know what they’re actually paying for when they pick up a prescription. Right now, the system is rigged in favor of the middlemen who set drug prices behind closed doors – and patients pay the price. We’re supporting a rule that would change that.”

Oregon DOJ is taking action to address the rising cost of living and support price transparency for prescription drugs. Alongside a bipartisan multistate coalition, we are supporting a new rule that would require pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) to have price transparency. PBMs have caused unnecessary price hikes and limited drug access and affordability, and transparency protects against that.

The cost of living is rising, and we’re fighting for working families – and that includes making sure prescription drugs stay affordable.
