🚨New Paper!

In the study championed by Janina Pykäri, they quantified biotic carbon stocks across trophic levels in the shallow littoral zone. For example, they found that most carbon in the studied soft-sediment habitats was bound in vegetation and infauna.

🚨New publication on carbon stocks in reed beds!

M Williamson et al. quantified C storage in reed stems, roots and sediment.

🌍 Most C was stored in the sediments and roots, and the highest total C storage was observed in the intermittent zone of the reed beds.

New publication!🌥️

Maija Peltola et al. have measured new particle formation and aerosol properties at the CoastClim coastal atmospheric observatory.

The fascinating results showed e.g. new particle formation at the coast occurred roughly as often as in a boreal forest.
