I had the chance to conduct #bluecarbon sediment coring in #Zostera pacifica seagrass beds off the Channel Islands October 2025, working with the Bay Foundation and @scrippsocean.bsky.social. Though the islands are sparse and forbidding, below the surface is a wonderland of green.
