A Black man was killed by ICE (off duty) in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. And like Renée Good, he was an American citizen. But most people have not heard about Keith Porter.

I need y’all to realize this. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims.

Trump.

Congress has officially passed the ‘One Big Beautiful Bill.’ It now heads to Trump’s desk to be signed into law.

The bill extends tax cuts for the wealthy, overhauls programs like Medicaid and SNAP, increases border and military spending and a multi-trillion dollar increase to the debt ceiling.

I am grieving the barbarism that is going to unfurl from all this. People are going to die. Livelihoods gone. All to feed a corrupt kleptocracy.

I see every day up close how different it is from the first time around. There are no guardrails. A disaster. I’m sorry we have to live through this.
