A ghostly glow at sea?

If you’re near the water at dusk this time of year, take a minute and look west. About an hour after sunset, you might catch a faint glow rising from the horizon. It’s called the zodiacal light.

A sail to remember from Anacortes to Seattle!

Boarded Lady Washington at 5:30 AM & docked in Seattle at 8 PM, tired but glowing from the journey. Sea lions, eagles, and a humpback whale sightings along the way!

So long and thanks for all the fish! 🐬

This is a Pantropical spotted dolphin. They can launch themselves 15–20 feet above the water, often spinning mid-air. They’re one of the few species known for spinning leaps, similar to their close cousins, spinner dolphins.

A fin whale surfaces! Watch the ocean’s “greyhound” glide and blow 🌊🐋

In this short clip, a fin whale glides along the surface before releasing a powerful blow of mist into the air. That tall, narrow column can rise 20–25 feet (6–8 m) above the water—often the first clue a whale is nearby. 🌊
