Nice to end the @bpsdevsection.bsky.social annual conference with a view of a rainbow! It was a very inspiring conference ๐ง
Excited to be at Royal Holloway for the BPS Developmental Psychology section conference!
Absolutely chuffed to see this ๐
Some pics from my short holiday in the Cairngorms, getting alpine ready. ยดโTwas a privilege doing that stuff on #IWD weekend. Representation matters, and you still mostly see (white) men in alpinism.
Still looking for suitable candidates!
Strong statistical analysis skills will be necessary, and experience/knowledge of genetic epidemiology will be beneficial. Get in touch if you have any questions or would like to have a chat about the project!

Oh, same, I dreamt I was ill and had a very blocked nose and that it likely was Covid. Happy to wake up with no signs of illness! I know the dream was prob triggered by many colleagues being off sick with Covid currently.
I know I haven't posted in a while, I struggle to manage too many social media accounts at once. ๐
If anyone aged 19-29 has a few spare minutes to fill in an online questionnaire, please help my student out. And feel free to share the recruitment advert :)
Happy IWD to all the amazing women* in my life! (Colleagues, friends, family, and the like.)
"Peace in patriarchy is war against women."
*and non-binary people and other genders too. I also know inspirational men, but today is not about that.
Congratulations, amazing news!! Please tell me all about it :)
Me and close family members experienced domestic abuse and I truly do not wish that kind of experience on anyone. I have #Raynaud's syndrome so a cold water dip will be an additional challenge!
I am normally not one to do fundraisers. However, I will be doing a cold water dip for the #DomesticViolence charity Refuge on 8th March, please support me if you can & spread the word, this cause is particularly close to my heart. facebook.com/donate/41862...
Much appreciated!
One of my students will be conducting interviews with people belonging to an ethnic/religious minority (primarily, Muslim and Jewish) about the current #israelpalestineconflict. If you belong to one of those minorities and are willing to take part, please get in touch with her and feel free to share

My colleague just praised my very โfeminist biscuitsโ because they are in the shape of female reproductive organs! ๐๐ (apparently they taste alright too!)
Congratulations :)
I very much enjoyed interviewing @jorowags.bsky.social and her students about how to incorporate Open Science principles into student projects. Please check the interview out!
