Brauchen wir noch einen Podcast?! 🤔
Hört mal rein: open.spotify.com/show/4L7oLh3...

I guess sometimes you have to be a bit delusional and just submit your paper to Science or Nature 🤷♀️

A testing room with six active computer or laptop screens.
Question: How many screens do you need to test a new study set-up? 🤔
Answer: Yes.
Thrilled to see this amazing science communication endeavor come to life! Huge thanks to @helenahartmann.com and the @sfb-trr-289.bsky.social SC Team! Don’t miss the MS Wissenschaft when it’s near you!
New comment talking about something very important: How to do sustainable, open science in neuroscience! 💪🧠
Thanks to the @igor-dgps.bsky.social team for another great collaborative piece ❤️
Huge thanks to my co-creators @ulrikebingel.bsky.social, Sven Benson, Lorenz Peters, Birte Eickhoff, Gaby Miketta, Mathias Brüggemeier, Sarah Reusing and Detlef Pucher 💙
And thanks to the @dfg.de for making this possible by funding our science communication!
So mark your calendars, check when the boat is in a city close to you, and come visit us at any of the meet-the-scientist events (me on the 14th of July in Cologne!): ms-wissenschaft.de/de/besuch/to...
It is both an incredible opportunity and a daunting challenge to create an exhibit for 80k people, including many school children!
On this final stretch, it feels amazing to see your ideas slowly come to life: ms-wissenschaft.de/de/ausstellu...
A sketched drawing of one side of the exhibit. Old-fashioned telephones in different colors and a barometer with different texts.
Prototypes for a museum exhibit. A barometer needle and old telephone in black on a white stand.
A sketched drawing of one side of the exhibit. A hand holding a silver-colored pressable button.
A sketched drawing of one side of the exhibit. a 3D-printed square with a lid that can be moved up and down, hiding and revealing text underneath.
🌟 I am both a scientist and a science communicator 🌟
Never have I felt this more than this year, because the wonderful #scicomm team of the @sfb-trr-289.bsky.social is creating their first museum exhibit about treatment expectations for the MS Wissenschaft (@w-i-d.de), a traveling museum boat! 🚢
Isabelle was my intern last year and I thought I would try writing a science short story as a didactic #scicomm exercise - and was amazed at the result! ♥️
So here it is now for all of you to read! ☺️
I think from now on all my students might be asked if they want to try it out 😁
Back again, letting my students torture me with painful stimuli 😂 #postdoclife
