Meanwhile, 121 million unintended pregnancies happen every year - roughly half of all pregnancies worldwide.
It's time for new options. FOR EVERYONE.

Does size matter? Bigger economies with their higher aid budgets naturally tend to allocate bigger absolute amounts of funding to SRHR.
But when putting these funding amounts into perspective, comparing them to overall #ODA, it’s not necessarily the bigger players who champion #SRHR.
🗓️ June 4: Join us & @devex.com for a webinar on 'A Shifting Aid Environment: A Reality Check of Donor Support for SRHR'. We’ll also be launching our 2025 #DonorsDelivering report 🚀 tracking countries' ODA contributions to #SRHR.

🚨 Every week in 2023, 4,000 adolescent girls & young women (15–24) were newly infected with #HIV — UNAIDS.
Political & financial backsliding threatens to widen the gender gap in HIV impact. A vaccine would be transformative, especially for those at highest risk. #HIVAwarenessDay2025
Threats like climate change & rising drug resistance demand stronger global health R&I.
📉 Malaria R&I funding rose slightly in 2023, a hopeful shift after 4 years of decline.
📣 We urge EU leaders to scale up investment to keep lifesaving innovation on track #WorldMalariaDay
🚨 But overall progress is falling behind.
In 2023, the global malaria mortality rate was 13.7 deaths per 100,000. That's more than double the 2030 target!
@who.int warns: expanding access to vaccines 💉 are essential to reverse this trend #WorldMalariaDay
Today is #WorldMalariaDay. The 2024
@who.int #WorldMalariaReport 📊 shows global efforts averted over 177 million cases and 1 million deaths in 2023.
👏 And Egypt became officially malaria-free in October 2024...a major milestone!

We're proud to join 40 other organisations in calling for a strong, independent R&I Framework Programme -successor to #HorizonEU.
In an open letter to @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu, we urge the EU to preserve the integrity and mission of #FP10, rather than merging it into a broader #Competitiveness Fund
🌎 Today is World Chagas Disease Day, an often overlooked disease that kills ~10,000 per year
💵 Our G-FINDER data shows a boost in Chagas drug R&D funding by industry in 2023 and US NIH funding rose by 25%, even as overall funding for multi-kinetoplastid R&D declined
