Love the contrast and composition there!
Hey artists, if you see this, post a dog
Another opportunity to show these good bois 🐶. The Beezlepug.
Yeah, I told them that a good environment illustration would take a month. Less if it's not complex and I use 3d base.
I started working with them by doing drawings, but now they want me to do this fulltime gig, which I can't do, as I do have other gigs as well.
Yes! Hopefully they'll get in touch with my friend and I'll be back on doing mostly drawings to them (which, was the initial plan).
Absolutely haha
✨ She's done! My gouache portrait of Edea Kramer from Final Fantasy VIII is my tribute to a game that shaped part of who I am.
FF8 was the very first FF I played, I was completely in awe & played like it was sacred.
Did you play FF8? Who was YOUR favourite character?

Illustration of PRAGMATA main characters, Hugh (wielding a gun in a big futuristic space suit) and Diana (a childlike android)
Pragmata commission. Thank you Capcom for the trust 🌙
Yep! Definitely a crunch. The thing is: since they are not artist, there are revisions along the process. Even if the process is sketch to finish without much room for exploration.
Exactly. There's no detailed briefing, just 1 or few ref images, and no prior designs. They want from sketch to finish and fixing stuff along the process.
I agree. It's possible if the artist doesn't have any distractions, obligations, and other stuff.
That's the thing, they aren't artists, so sometimes they ask for something and then, ask to do small changes during the process. There's no exploring, since it's from sketch to finish. Although this speed the process, it kills creativity imo.
Thanks! Actually, I did work for then, but I'm probably not meeting the quota. Besides, I do have other gigs as well. So, I suggested them to hire a friend of mine and told them that's a lot to do in 1 month.
Exactly! Actually it's 3 environments, 1 complex and 2 less complex.
Iron Guards
Yeah, most probably, that's what I'd take as well. I do use 3d as well to speed the process and have more control over the art.
Yes, they want the artist to go fulltime. The problem is they aren't artists, so there'll be some stuff to be changed when the art is almost complete. Also, they want quality and speed.
Yeah, they want the artist in fulltime. There's a thing too: they aren't artists. So, there'll be stuff that could be done in sketch phase, which they'll ask to change when the art is almost complete.
Some of these are small, so they can be done quickly, indeed. But the environments are full
Forgot to add: Semi-realistic style. TTRPG.
Hey art friends, I have a question:
- How much time would you spend if you have to paint a full body character, a character bust/face, 2 monsters (1 full and 1 half or top part), 3 environments and 3 drawings?
Client wants all in one month...
Well, well, it's #portfolioday already? I just got back home from a trip, so I'm out of the loop. However, if you like fantastical landscapes, then I got some for you! I'm mostly working for MTG and D&D these days.

A young woman in 15th century inspired black plate armor, looking wistfully and holding a longsword that has a magical golden light emanating from it. Behind her is a rich colorful tapestry with late Medieval motifs that's interwoven with gold thread.
Achilles and Patroclos, standing next to each other in front of a raging fire. Achilles is outfitted for battle and looks wistfully into the distance, while Patroclos ties some laces of his armor, also looking sad. Behind them and above there's the mosaic of a warrior in his chariot.
Illustration of a knight or paladin or swordfighter in chainmail and cloak, drawing her sword, stepping over a water surface towards the viewer. Behind her, a flock of swans rises up into the sky.

Happy #portfolioday ! I'm an animation artist and illustrator who specializes in detailed lineart. I'm currently looking to take on more trad pub illustration work, especially fairytales and classics (my dream is to illustrate the Divine Comedy or Sleeping Beauty)!
On the Left: fullbody portrait of a elf woman in a layered red outfit with various satchels containing instruments like brushes and scalpels, and holding various scrolls. She stands proudly in a dusty, sandy environment, a cheeky smile on her face. On the Right: painting of two feminine figures, Fley (a green skinned tiefling with long dark hair, wearing a tight black dress) and Darania (a pale half-elf, blonde hair pulled up in a crown braid, wearing a white robe with red spider lily embroidery). Darania stands behind Fley, clutching the other's face in her hands, red polished nails pressing in her skin, and looks at the viewer with a predatory smirk. Fley stares ahead with wide eyes.
illustration, painted in warm grays and reds, of Sheireen (OC - a drow woman of undefined age, with rot exposing the flesh of the left side of her face and hand) wrapped in a dark shawl blown by the wind. In the background, a barren land with a tower crumbling in the air against the backdrop of a red moon.
Illustration of Fley [OC], a tiefling with light green skin, long black hair and golden eyes. They wear a robe with flowing white sleeves. They're staring ahead at the viewer with a determined expression and snarling a spell out, their hand outstretched in a command. Green and pink magic swirls around them in a wave reminiscent of water and northern lights.
On the Left: a digital painting, featuring two mermaids deep underwater. One of them has a snake-like tail, long hair floating behind her, the other has octopus tentacles that frame the picture. The octopus mermaid is adorned in golden jewels, and debris from ships rest in the background. The two are embracing lovingly, admiring a glowing pendant the snake siren brough to her companion as a gift. The jewel emits bright golden light that illuminates the two.
