Gaza war toll likely significantly undercounts deaths, says study An official Palestinian tally of direct deaths in the Israel-Hamas war likely undercounted the number of casualties by 41% through the middle of 2024 as the Gaza Strip's healthcare infrastructure unravelled, according to the study.

NEW: A study by Yale University and other institutions has found that the Gaza war death toll is likely 41% HIGHER than Palestinian health officials reported.

It also found that over 59% of those killed were women, children and people over the age of 65.

حسام شبات @HossamShabat Israeli occupation forces continue ethnically cleansing the north. Today, they attacked a school in the Jabalia refugee camp and forced people out of it. Then they lined them up and shot anyone who dared to move. Any male over the age of 16 is being detained, tortured, and investigated. Many people who are being lined up are sick individuals, such as amputees, cancer patients, and young kids who are being asked to stand in line for hours. The situation is catastrophic.

No words. For all the devastation Gaza has faced, North Gaza is a completely other level.

I've always been hesitant to ever compare things directly to the Holocaust, but everything I'm hearing reminds me of the stories my family had passed down as well as what Jews have learned about our past.

Truly astounding book. I don’t think I have read anything close to the beauty of the boy’s description of rain drops and water in a novel. I guess my reading it proves death sells tho I had read Palace of Dreams.
