Did a long run that included a loop of Tenan Beach yesterday! Many youths playing basketball on the courts, love to see it. When will the bypass/extension path open? Can’t wait to run all the way to Carson Beach someday!

#Parenting Wake kids at 5:30a so we can drive mom to airport. Drive 1 hour to grandma’s house. Hard-fought unicorn nap trap with BOTH kids, but only lasted 30 min. Then 1 hour drive home later, during typical bedtime. Smallest one nods off in final 15 min. Both asleep by 9:15p! And it’s DST tonight!
Sure, sex is nice, but have you ever sat in your grandpa’s old chair, watching the rain pour down, listening to “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” on repeat through highest quality headphones, while your wife and kids sleep peacefully upstairs, and you could cry out of gratitude, sorrow, satisfaction?
Folks, one of my favorite hoodies came out of the wash with the drawstring pulled through. I was able to shimmy it back through the hood. If you need help with any other impossibilities, I’m apparently superhuman.
Dear fellow Bostonians. Today, I ran 1 mile for every degree above 0. It was 18° when I started. I thought I had a small chance of getting frostbite in one exposed fingertip of a worn-through glove, but I persevered. Here’s hoping this is my final long run below freezing this year! #BostonMarathon

Tucked into a cozy cabin in New Hampshire when the power went out. Have no fear, a family member brought a box of Duraflame. I’m an Eagle Scout, surely I don’t need to read the directions for a fire log, right? Wrong. Apparently the wrapper IS the firestarter, and you should not unwrap it first.

Is it still a #humblebrag if it’s 30 hours later? My #marathontraining is going nicely, capped a three-week run-up of 10, 11, & 12. Time for a drop-back week, then we’re on to the teens. Oh, did i mention it was totally freezing outside? The sweat froze on the outside of my knit hat. #BostonMarathon
I saw a trailer for 28 Years Later yesterday and, beyond it already being disturbing, the 1915 recitation of the Kipling poem, “Boots,” is one of the most frightening things I’ve ever heard.
In my life, the amount of times that I have grabbed a Hershey kiss in the dark kitchen, quickly unwrapped it to pop it in my mouth, and found the little paper ribbon came with it… the amount of times is greater than zero.
Does anyone else have trouble successfully breaking graham crackers along the perforation, or are you normal?
