I wanted to work in women's health as an RN, but I fell head first into infusion nursing and ended up liking it. I'm realizing now I will probably never go into women's health now since it would mean a pay cut I can't afford. I saw a great job posting today, but guess it's not meant to be.

The only way I've been able to solve this problem is to buy a crapload of them, then stash them all over my house and in every bag I use when I go out. I don't move them from their homes. It feels wasteful but it works and I'll eventually use up all of them, right? 😅

So now I'm WELL over 40 hours. They found YET ANOTHER infusion for me to do on Friday! FUCK I'm so tired, but at least it's only a 10 minute drive from my house and I can spend most of the time hand sewing. Sometimes being salary really sucks.
I got an add on for Tuesday, which brought me up to over 40 hours. Figured I'd really be done then. But then yesterday I get a request to drive nearly 3 hours one-way to do a single 15 minute infusion in Arizona on Friday. I was only an hour away last night so I got the appointment switched.
I was told this was going to be a hell week for work, but I wasn't prepared for the fuckery I would be put through. I got my schedule last week, and it looks jam packed but surprisingly my Friday is open. Great! I know I might get something added on but I also might get a day off.
The people at the rent-a-car place have seen me enough that they're amusing themselves by giving me upgrades. I'm now driving a Camaro to my appointments out of state tomorrow. They don't know that I refused a '65 Mustang in favor of a minivan for my first vehicle as a teen 😅

BTW, almost all the fabrics I'm using are leftovers from the flower girl dress I made my daughter last year. The lining is bemberg rayon, and the outer fabrics are silk. The netting came off an old Betsey Johnson shirt.
I was sad this morning, so kept myself busy redoing the sleeves and sewing the side seams together today. It's so nice when the project starts to come together! Now comes the outer piping and assembly. I think this will be very cute when done! Now, which girl will wear it? #bjdsewing #bjd
It's funny. 6-7 years ago, if I could have looked at where I am now, I would think I have everything I ever wanted. A child, a partner, a job where I am respected and paid well.
But I lost the things that gave me joy before, and days like today, I really want that back.
My brain hates being happy.
I put the sleeves on wrong. I'm so irritated. I could just continue on, but the interior won't be as finished and it will gnaw at me. Anyway, have some pre-mistake progress shots!

I felt like death Thursday and Friday. Couldn't eat, could barely sleep. I am in much less pain today, but I'm weak and still can't eat very many things. Banana and applesauce again? Yes, I guess 🙄
I called my supervisor about an hour ago but she didn't pick up. Even if I could sleep through the pain, I can't sleep until I know she got the message and reassigns everyone. I really hate being an inconvenience.
