Hmmm. I think this is maybe thinking things the wrong way around @gerritkurtz.bsky.social - the divisions are growing at least partly because of Addis Ababa & Asmara's meddling. Hard to see Tigray elite as primary actors, when they have got themselves into a situation of having so little influence.

One of the world's least reported genocides took place in #Tigray between 2020 - 2022 with horrific sexual violence and rape weaponised to subdue women/ the population. Most of the victims are still waiting for accountability and justice.
