I was delighted to hear the "sweet-sweet-I'm-so-sweet" song of the Northern Yellow Warbler in my backyard marsh yesterday. Two of them were singing; perhaps they having a sing-off to see who gets to nest in the area.

A baby owl!

Orca whales know what humans are. They're top tier predators. They can chase seals at 35 mph. They watch us drive by in our boats, perform for us when we whale watch, they respect our frailty when we canoe or paddleboard. They even observe us standing around campfires on the beach late at night.

Goodbye buddy.
