Sunda Gharial at Chester Zoo. Absolutely huge. I'd been to a Komodo Dragon event a few weeks before, and I thought that was the best scaly creature I could see, but I turned a corner during this visit, and saw this 🙂

High tide at Parkgate today, which is usually a big event in birding in North West UK. The air pressure was very low and the wind very calm, so the marsh didn't fill up with water as much as it usually does. Still, we saw little egrets and geese, plus a kestrel and a buzzard, so not a bad day 🙂
