My sproutlings are doing ok, growing. I have the best time watching. In the early days, growth day to day is so dramatic. 150 little plants, plus some Purple Heart cuttings which have new leaves. We'll have to make a 3rd tray as these get bigger. Prepping our raised beds for early May transplant.

I Googled "cherry pie filling and white cake mix." We needed a follow up to our dinner of homemade chili with our tomatoes. Here is Cinnamon Cherry Cake.
Going old school. Using our tomatoes from the summer in chili, the base. House smells so good.

That time my husband was a portrait studio Santa. He looked amazing. 2010.
Through the #GoodGivingChallenge this week, our donors gave $2215 and we are so grateful. Spreading awareness of risks and symptoms, providing education, being part of a support communinity? Ovarian cancer wasn't on my bingo card. Helping others? I am 100% in. Our website www.BOCSky.org
I am not typically a fan of the nog. But I will trust Scott, and the recipe and give it a try.
Yes! Go you, celebrate! It's a big deal.
Also should say I am school librarian-adjacent. I help them with resources but I'm not an SL.
I always wanted to be librarian. Didn't know that I'd end up in IT but that's a diff story. It wasn't until I was in a MLIS program that I took children's lit, cataloging, network admin, indexing/taxonomy. I was free-range as an undergrad - English Lit and Geology.
What a damn shame. Not.
No one should face ovarian/gynecologic cancer alone. There is no test or definitive screening for ovarian cancer. I was stage 3. Awareness of risks and symptoms are the best defense. Help me get the word out by contributing in these last few hours to BOCS. Thank you

Baby mozz not so pretty. But very very tasty overall.
Not seen: the lasagna noodles laying on tea towels hanging over chair backs and the extra bamboo drying rack. We have a ridiculous quantity of tea towels. I bake. A lot.
My husband and I did this today. I did pasta dough from scratch and he rolled. 2 lasagnas made with Italian sausage, spinach, and onion. And cheese. [I cheat and sometimes use cottage cheese. I am my mama's daughter. She taught me.] Today, mozz and shredded 6 cheese "blend." But gracious.
Gosh! Not to sound pitiful. It's just what we're dealing with. We're living through it. I'm still in treatment. Many of us are. We have a good community and donations fund the materials distributed locally, through our 2 GYN cancer hospitals, and outreach efforts. Everybody volunteers.
I am a 3 year NED stage 3 #ovariancancersurvivor. A group I volunteer with here in Central KY is fundraising this week. Our only fundraiser. If you could donate. We alternate in person and Zoom monthly meetings. We are survivors and people in treatment. Thank you.

When I picked up "Dear Theo" in 2022, in the new year after opening it for Christmas, I wasn't ready I guess. And now, I get stopped by a turn of phrase often.
“One of the most beautiful things to do is to paint darkness, which nevertheless has light in it.”
