A graph showing the live Tiltify totals for 2021-2025 P4A. The graph currently shows stats from 3 days before P4A starts to "Day 1". 2025 has raised almost $130,000 so far, significantly more than the next highest year (2022) which had only raised $54,000 by this time.

For some context for fellow Nerdfighters, here is the current graph comparing the previous 5 years on www.futurephotons.io/p4a/live/. (only showing the crowdfunding totals). Red is 2025. We rock!

I think we are all feeling distant from hope. Nerdfighters, should we start a hashtag chain to remind John (and us) that we are all in this together?

You might be wondering... why don't I just donate to the charity I care about?
Please do! Our biggest goal is to get people excited about sharing their money, time, and talents with nonprofits.

My partner is a reels and shorts user. And that's what he likes to watch. Clips from shows/movies, husband/wife "prank" videos, and jokes about poop and farts. It's awful.

Completely agree. I often think about the fact that as humans we were not meant for this sort of life. The 40+ hour work weeks, the nonstop schedules. The lack of a "village". But then I remember it's really nice having modern technology and healthcare and all the things that have come from this.

My Subaru is 13 years old, approaching 100k miles, and has never let me down despite me taking the absolute bare minimum care of it. I adore my little hunk of junk and look forward to continuing to run it into the ground. ♥️

I've been feeling a little aimless and hopeless since the new year. I have found myself listening to John's old podcast, Anthropocene Reviewed. Something about John's voice does not challenge my feelings, and yet fills me with a smidgen of hope. It lets me wallow while seeing the light at the end.

Every single time I get to the last page and see the upside down wings, I want to find Eric Carle and demand an explanation. Like, did NOBODY in the publishing process say anything?! It had to be on purpose.

134 Nerdfighters from 30 Countries singing We're Here Because We're Here YouTube video by Julia Garbe

I will be honest, I am not entering 2025 full of hope and optimism. The past year has made me weary. But listening to Nerdfighteria come together reminds me that we are not facing what's to come alone. We're here because we're here.

Thank you, John. This truly is amazing news. I'm so proud of Partners in Health, government officials, local citizens, and Nerdfighteria for helping bring about lasting and LIFE CHANGING progress to Sierra Leone. Here's to continuing to decrease world suck in 2025.

The account also keeps in mind not everyone has access to a large fridge to store a turkey, or an oven to bake things. While she does use an oven, everything "can" be prepared on the stove.

Went to a funeral recently that told the story of Jesus raising Lazarus. Felt a bit tone deaf to talk about how Jesus can raise people from the dead but chose to let your family member stay dead??

A poem by Langston Hughes titled "Tired". It reads as the following:

"I am so tired of waiting,
Aren't you,
For the world to become good
And beautiful and kind?
Let us take a knife
And cut the world in two --
And see what worms are eating
At the rind."

I've been thinking about this poem by Langston Hughes recently and although it was published in 1931, it remains relevant as ever.
