I am advertising for a PhD position in my group. We'll be investigating how pathogenic RNA viruses replicate in the nucleus. The project will teach cryoEM/ET, virus culture, and in vitro assays.

If you're interested reach out and I'd be happy to have a chat.

Looking for a PhD? 🚀 MIBTP projects are out lots to explore!
🔬 #Bacteria#AMR#Interdisciplinary • FUN!
My projects explore how Gram-negative bacteria build and maintain their three-layered cell envelope, using cryo-EM, fluorescence microscopy and biochemistry.

I wondering if anyone who does cryoEM or work with cold things could help me! I am looking for a hot plate to dry tools post being in liquid nitrogen. They all seem to be £800+ for something so simple. Anyone know where to source a cheap warming plate?

I’ve landed at the SLS, University of Warwick! 🎉 Thanks to the Wellcome Trust for supporting this next chapter. Everyone’s been so welcoming, and I’m excited for the challenges ahead (even the endless quizzes 📝).

Risk assessments first, then into the lab! Missing old friends, see you soon for EM 🔬❄️
