kitchen chemistry: a variation on chocolate chess pie with date paste in place of sugar: 1/2 cup goat milk butter, 4 Tablespoons cocoa, 2 eggs, 4 oz whipping cream, 1 tsp vanilla, and 1 cup date paste made from 6 oz of medjool dates in place of 1 cup brown sugar. Bake at 400F ~ 45 minutes.
Movember saw Ljiljana Paša-Tolić (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ljiljan...) visit the lab. She and I have had parallel careers in proteomics with her more focused on the top-down variety and me nearly giving it up in favor of microbial lipids in the last decade.
What do Canadians call American Thanksgiving? .... Thursday, LOL, and for that we had surf n turf a la sous vide pork belly and Pacific Northwest turkey, aka salmon. Happy Thursday, ya'll
