In 2019, I created #WhatAGameDevLooksLike after I was stopped by security 3(!!) times while picking up my speaker badge. I’m a small Asian woman with pink hair, and I guess I didn’t visually meet their expectations of a speaker.
Ironically, I was at GDC to speak about inclusive studio cultures. 🫠

Hulkenberg did today what every Forza driver would do in this situation: crash the XP sign.
I have this 'strange feeling' that Wanderstop is about crunch and burnout 🥲
AAAAAAAA SIM
Edit: I failed. The string didn't get shorter. But the review will be great 😅
Book cover of the book called "Kraftwerk: Future Music from Germany", from the author Uwe Schüte. Below this title there is the image of an electronic portable synthesizer. The bookmark is a drawing of a fly on thick black lines that match the letters used on the book cover
Reading the story of Kraftwerk - the music workers. Incredible to see how they were able to (and still) conect the current reality with the expectations for the future.. beyond many other legacies to music, art and their country. Great book. Btw the bookmark matched the book cover very well.
A navy and orange background with a semi-transparent image of the Accelerate shield logo. In the foreground, a headshot of Daeana Bourscheid, a woman with glasses and shoulder length brown hair wearing a white collared shirt and dark herringbone coat. Text above and below the headshot reads "Accelerate Season 2 Fellows. Daeana Bourscheid."

Closing the cycle... today I got the printed certificate for my master's degree in psychology. It's so beautiful to see this achievement🥹
Starting a new Scope Review for my PhD and having some fun building the search string. For those of you who saw the string used in my master's thesis: it will be shorter 😅 - but still sharp.
And yes, I would be in the hypothetical more anxious group that can't see the bus
Research question: Is there a difference in anxiety levels between people who wait for buses at highly visible versus less visible road locations? People waiting in less visible spots may need a quicker visual reflex and extra attention than those who can see the bus approaching from a distance 🤔
Today I've felt the age gap between me and my sister when she said she memorized the weekdays because of the song 'Seven' by Jungkook, while I memorized it with 'I got a feeling' by Black Eyed Peas 🫠
A blue and orange background, ahead of it is a shield with a sword inside it. Accelerate Season 2 written above. In front of the shield, there's a white woman with wavy-light-brown hair, who is wearing pink glasses, a white shirt, and a black coat.
I’m absolutely thrilled to share that I'm joining the next #AccelerateProgram, developed by @takethis.org and funded by @riotgames.com and @unlikelycollaborators.com.
I look forward to building on my knowledge and skills to continue advocating for mental health in the games industry.
New article just dropped! I’ve published a section of my scoping review that explores the organization’s role in addressing crunch. Enjoy the read! dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/...
