Excited to share our new study, the paper is out today @cp-immunity.bsky.social! Not all Treg cells are the same. We identified two Treg cell subsets with opposing functions in colorectal cancer (CRC). 1/8

Excited to share our new preprint! We studied how T cells are functionally & clonally shaped across organs over time. With the new TRACK mice, we genetically label recently activated T cells with tdTomato and track their migration across tissues. #immunology #science www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

Enkephalin-producing regulatory T cells in the skin restrain local inflammation through control of nociception Regulatory T cells curb noxious sensory signaling to dampen cutaneous inflammation, a neuromodulatory mechanism for immunosuppression.

After many years of work I’m so happy to share our work on #scienceimmunology on how Treg cells modulate nociception to dampen skin inflammation! My handle will make a lot more sense now!🕵🏻‍♀️

Replaying germinal center evolution on a quantified affinity landscape Darwinian evolution of immunoglobulin genes within germinal centers (GC) underlies the progressive increase in antibody affinity following antigen exposure. Whereas the mechanics of how competition be...

Wanted to highlight our latest preprint--a huge effort by multiple people and labs, but led primarily by @wsdewitt.github.io, Tatsuya Araki, and Ashni Vora, in a very close wet-dry collaboration with @matsen.bsky.social’s lab at the Hutch

How Does the Gut Immune System Distinguish Between Friends and Foes? Cell-cell interactions help drive tolerogenic or inflammatory responses to the maelstrom of antigens passing through the gut.

Rockefeller's @cicacanesso.bsky.social talks to The Scientist about her recent work with @danmucida.bsky.social and @victora.bsky.social on how cell-cell interactions help drive tolerogenic or inflammatory responses to the maelstrom of antigens passing through the gut.

Identification of antigen-presenting cell–T cell interactions driving immune responses to food The intestinal immune system must concomitantly tolerate food and commensals and protect against pathogens. Antigen-presenting cells (APCs) orchestrate these immune responses by presenting luminal ant...

I am excited to share our study showing how the immune system strikes a delicate balance between tolerating food and defending against helminth infections.

Check out our last pub. from @mfgrp.bsky.social al lab! We discovered that skin commensal microbes induce systemic and local B cell responses upon colonization and took advantage of this knowledge to create topical vaccines using engineered skin microbes. Please read the thread for details.

The Parsa Laboratory at CZ Biohub New York The Parsa laboratory investigates the functional and clonal dynamics of T cells during various immune responses. Using innovative genetic approaches, we will precisely track and analyze the behavior of polyclonal perturbation-specific T cells over time and space. We seek to uncover the rules governing the development of effector and memory T cells, ultimately enhancing our understanding of adaptive immunity and advancing therapies for various diseases, including cancer and autoimmunity.

I’m looking for a postdoc to join my group here at Chan Zuckerberg Biohub NY! This position offers the chance to delve deeply into the dynamic and functional behavior of T cells, exploring how their fate decisions shape immune responses in health and disease.
