The President and his Administration have already failed twice in court trying to intimidate me, and he's still not letting up. Just more proof that he'll do anything it takes to silence those of us willing to call him out. I'm not backing down — ever.

Cristina Zenato works in the wild with sharks, where she has built a special relationship with a local shiver of Caribbean Reef sharks. Many recognize her and approach her touch. She uses this connection to remove hooks from their mouths.

This black-and-white portrait captures Maggie Kuhn (1905–1995), the indomitable founder of the Gray Panthers, an activist group that revolutionized the fight against ageism. Seated in a relaxed yet attentive pose, Kuhn is seen in her later years, radiating a sense of sharp-witted wisdom and gentle defiance. She is dressed in a dark, structured, button-down jacket with a small round collar, featuring a prominent circular political button pinned to her left chest—a hallmark of her lifelong commitment to grassroots organizing. Her silver hair is elegantly swept back, and she wears thin-framed glasses that highlight her keen, observant eyes and a slight, knowing smile.

Her hands, weathered by time and adorned with simple rings, rest naturally in her lap, one draped over the arm of what appears to be a patterned chair. The background is softly out of focus, showing a glimpse of indoor foliage and a textured wall, suggesting a television studio or public forum setting where she frequently challenged societal norms. The composition is a medium shot that focuses on her presence as a formidable public figure. The mood is one of dignified strength and intellectual vitality, serving as a powerful visual testament to her legacy as a champion for intergenerational justice and the rights of the elderly.

Temperatures in Nearly All Major U.S. Cities Have Warmed Since First Earth Day - Eos After more than half a century of Earth Days, one planetary challenge—climate change—threatens our planet more than ever. In 1970, the year Sen. Gaylord Nelson, D-Wisc., organized the first Earth Day ...

Some cities in the United States are warming much faster than the nation as a whole. Reno, for example, has warmed nearly three times as much as the national average since the first #EarthDay in 1970.

It shows a photograph of Alice James.

It shows a photograph of Alice James.

Did you know?

In the Victorian era, diarist Alice James, the sharp-tongued sister of Henry James, formed one of the most intimate and devoted female partnerships of the 19th century.

She never married, and instead built her life around deep emotional bonds with women.

Police say charges will be filed against adults 'who stood by' during shooting in North Carolina park Police in North Carolina plan to charge adults "who stood by" during Monday morning's deadly shooting in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. (WFMY)

Its interesting that regular people can be charged for "standing by" during a shooting, but cops can't (thinking of Uvalde)

Another close call at another airport. You know, the right relentlessly hammered Pete Buttigieg about stuff like this when he was in office, saying he was inexperienced and a DEI hire.

But now…..crickets. Nothing about the real world guy.

"We live in a society where we've basically become totally callous to the idea that someone can gun down eight kids...and that's just the way of life. We deal with it and we move on, because we have become accustomed to it."

Any "extraordinarily brilliant person" would know his presidency is in free-fall after his disastrous decision to enter another endless war-of-choice in the Middle East & that on November 3rd accountability is coming for the most corrupt criminal Administration in U.S. History.

The victory in Virginia tonight reminds us that the people will defend democracy.

Virginians who care about fairness didn’t just win an election – they have stopped Trump’s attempt to steal the 2026 midterms.

A message to the White House: We will fight everywhere. And win.

Look at this chart.

Tax cuts for the rich are a policy choice. Cutting the social safety net in exchange for them is a policy choice.

States like New York have an opportunity to help undo this trickle down nonsense by raising taxes on the rich (who will still be rich).

I hope Gov. Hochul does.

Rock Island Arsenal is a pillar of the region and a center of innovation. But the Army executed significant personnel changes at the Arsenal without consulting Congress.

I joined @duckworth.senate.gov, Senator Grassley, & @ericsorensen.bsky.social to demand answers from the Army about this shift.

DOJ charges Southern Poverty Law Center over paid informants The civil rights group is being investigated over how it has sought to infiltrate extremist groups, its CEO says, adding that it “will not be intimidated.”

By going after the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Trump administration has dramatically escalated its attack on civil rights organizations and its defense of white supremacists.

These intimidation tactics won't succeed.
