Geordi no/yes meme

The no is "$1000+ PS6"
The yes is "Buy a cheap old $200 desktop and install Linux to play old games instead"

11 INTERNATIONAL HORROR MOVIES DIRECTED BY WOMEN FOR PEOPLE SERIOUS ABOUT SUPPORTING WOMEN IN HORROR This isn’t a recommendation list: it’s Sharai’s 11-film call to take women in horror seriously.

If you got to International Women’s Day and thought “how can I support International Women whilst watching lots of good horror movies?” then GOOD NEWS, @sharai.bsky.social has come through with an 11-film list of great movies you can watch NOW. Can art consumption be activism? Short answer: YES.

Really surprised I haven't seen more buzz about Crisol: Theater of Idols! Couple hours in and it's polished, mechanically neat and has a ton of style.

Reading reviews for a game(Dap) and one review described it as demented Pikmin. Well! I guess I want to play it even more now. 😄

Kind of apprehensive to share this bc I wrote it SO long ago at the very start of my career and it’s messy and imperfect and rough but. If anyone wants to read an 11,000 word ‘rundown’ of THE RETURN please enjoy so here (and if you don’t, please don’t be mean about it)

Thanks for sharing! I'm currently continuing my S3 rewatch which I'd started end of last year so very much appreciate an accompanying guide. 🙂☕️

“Fix Your Hearts or Die”: David Lynch’s Work Has Always Been Deeply, Powerfully Queer The filmmaker was so much more than just an influence on his legion of LGBTQ+ fans.

"Is David Lynch’s work queer or trans? Is water wet? From Erasherhead onward, Lynch was obsessed with the fragmentation of the self and with dreams; with death and sex, faith, shame, abuse; doppelgängers, cross-dressing, hyperfemininity and violence against women." | via. @them.us

I wish we could cultivate a culture where people get excited about and share the new skills they've learned more than the new stuff they've bought.

kyle_maclachlan Forty-two years ago, for reasons beyond my comprehension, David Lynch plucked me out of obscurity to star in his first and last big budget movie. He clearly saw something in me that even I didn't recognize. I owe my entire career, and life really, to his vision.
What I saw in him was an enigmatic and intuitive man with a creative ocean bursting forth inside of him. He was in touch with something the rest of us wish we could get to.
Our friendship blossomed on Blue Velvet and then Twin Peaks and I always found him to be the most authentically alive person I'd ever met.
David was in tune with the universe and his own imagination on a level that seemed to be the best version of human. He was not interested in answers because he understood that questions are the drive that make us who we are. They are our breath.
While the world has lost a remarkable artist, l've lost a dear friend who imagined a future for me and allowed me to travel in worlds I could never have conceived on my own.
I can see him now, standing up to greet me in his backyard, with a warm smile and big hug and that Great Plains honk of a voice. We'd talk coffee, the joy of the unexpected, the beauty of the world, and laugh.
His love for me and mine for him came out of the cosmic fate of two people who saw the best things about themselves in each other.
I will miss him more than the limits of my language can tell and my heart can bear. My world is that much fuller because I knew him and that much emptier now that he's gone.
David, I remain forever changed, and forever your Kale. Thank you for everything.

Thanks to all for your kind remembrances on this awful day. Words will come later. Only feelings at the moment. Mourn and remember him but don’t forget to celebrate too. We won’t see his like again. The man from another place has gone home. #DavidLynch #TwinPeaks
