so things have been quite busy these past few months, and i haven't found much time to work on the game, but i got started on the battle system. and hopefully around april onwards, i'll have ample time to work on the game [2/2]

greetings! life's been busy and will be busy for a while, but i found time to make at least some progress. most of it is in the backend, but I also done some stuff like making the camera easier to use, and some QOL for the dialog boxes :]

i can potentially (and perhaps, easily) remake this in my new bbcode dialog system but that's for another time
away from home right now, so I thought it would be interesting to run [2/3rds] on my (by today's standards?) low-end phone in Godot
...can't get far past the menu since it wasn't designed to handle touch controls, but interesting nonetheless.

I'm opting to post a series of progress updates of an RPG engine I've been working on. It's fun.
a minor thing, but i found out about BlendSpace2D (Godot) for the first time
it's funnier with the audio on lmfao-
but honestly, this is a better way of handling animations than whatever code i was writing that manually had to handle everything

note that this is way before i could consider it minimum viable product, as most of the work being done is in the internal code, refactoring the structure and where each component lies.
