Cover for We Called Them Giants by Stephanie Hans.
I write comics. These are my current ones. THE POWER FANTASY with Caspar Wijngaard is an ongoing book, and the link below is an introduction thread. Issues out monthly, first trade end of January. WE CALLED THEM GIANTS is my new graphic novel with Stephanie Hans, out now.

I wonder if i can find a piano teacher who will trade coding lessons for piano lessons
And a personal trainer who will trade personal training for coding lessons
And of course a programming tutor who will trade coding lessons for mtg lessons (which I'll make my bf give)
When what's really happening is now that they're on council & ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON, they're like, "Oh yeah, this makes sense." Up until, now they were ignorant fucking morons who were shooting off their mouths about shit they knew fuck all about. /4 #yqrcc
The fucking nerve! They're acting like every other property tax increase in city history was a profligate misuse of public funds on like, chocolate fountains or woke unicorn petting zoos. But now that THEY'RE on council — the Serious Men — all tax hikes are rational & restrained. /3 #yrqcc
Fudging is bad.
If you're fudging a die roll, it's always an indication that you're doing something wrong.
Frequently, that means you shouldn't be fudging at all.
The rest of the time you should be figuring out the mistake you made and never doing it again.

You need to be aware of this when using RPG safety tools. Almost all come with a largely unexamined paradigm:
The GM's role is to create everything in the campaign.
The player's role is to say NO.
This is not actually a good paradigm to imply or incubate. You need to consciously counteract it.
Cover of the 2024 Dungeon Master's Guide for Dungeons & Dragons
Let's Read the 2024 Dungeon Master's Guide for D&D.
Warning: I have been "spoiled" in myriad ways, but this will mostly be my raw reactions and ruminations as I read through the book for the first time.
Cover: We are ALL-IN on the '80s D&D cartoon.
Thoughts for new city councillors…
• You don't have to speak to every item on an agenda
• You can email questions to city staff BEFORE a meeting
• You don't have to tell us about your life experiences
• Referral motions are not debated
• You don't have to scrap everything & start over #yqrcc
