Hi @folly.studio, today’s Real Bird Fake Bird is incorrect.

I’ve been to Iceland (a Nordic country) a lot, I’ve seen their various ways of preserving fish.

See photo below of many drying fishies, in Iceland, the Nordic country.

This investigation was published by @cnn.com on 26th March, yet I only heard about it yesterday on Threads. That it hasn't been picked up by every major news outlet is astonishing.

It took me twelve years, but I think I must be cured of my delusion that I might recover from my incurable chronic illness in time for the next Sigur Rós concert, because I saw this and didn't even consider buying a ticket. Yay me. 🙃

It’s my 12th ME anniversary. Friday 28th Feb 2014 was the day my first symptom began and everything started to go wrong. To make it less sad though I always aim to have cake on this day, so I have something to look forward to. This year my mum made me a massive Victoria sponge! #ChronicIllness #PwME

If you can support the twisting of the truth to put the blame on Alex and Renee, then you've lost all morality. If you support ICE and their actions, you should be utterly ashamed, you will not be remembered well by history. 2/2

The absolute gall of The White House to fabricate a narrative about the killing of Alex Pretti that didn’t happen. As with Renee Goode, they were executed, on the street. Their murders by ICE are on video, we can see what happened, neither were a threat. 1/2

I tried to complete Action for ME’s Big Survey, but I’m struggling with their severity scale. I’m somewhere between moderate and severe, but neither description is accurate for me, and I’m simply too autistic to choose an answer that’s not correct. So, that’s that I guess. #PwME

When is a sausage not really a sausage? Ask the meat lobby | George Monbiot European legislators may ban plant-based products from using the name to prevent ‘confusion’. Just don’t mention beef tomatoes or buffalo wings, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

Thick as mince and thick as thieves. A column about the absolute idiots European legislators have made of themselves over the naming of food, at the behest of meat lobbyists.

The UK is going backwards. It would send a pretty powerful message if people were to boycott these organisations.

I adopted my lovely cat Smorky from Holly, who she rescued as a tiny kitten when Smol Paul was a few months old, and they quickly became friends. I enjoyed watching their antics on Twitter, never knowing I'd one day get to be Smorky's forever human! 1/2

Thanks to chemical menopause (to treat endo) I’ve been averaging 3-6hrs sleep/night, but last night was a first, I didn’t sleep at all. I turned the light off at 2am, then I lay awake all night. It’s kind of ironic, given so many people assume that having ME means I sleep all the time. #Insomnia

These debates seem like nothing more than an opportunity for MPs to be able to say “yep, we did something, we helped ME people today”, but without actually doing anything that results in any meaningful or measurable changes for people with ME. Or was this one different? 2/2

I just learned that there was a Westminster Hall ME debate yesterday. I remember feeling excited and hopeful about the debate in January 2019. I live tweeted as I watched it and I expected something to change, but nothing did. 1/2

It was pretty fast. I submitted my answers/evidence early August. I was preparing to wait until next year so this was very surprising. The whole process took just over five months.

I received my ADP (Scottish PIP) review determination letter today and I’ve kept my enhanced daily living and mobility awards. Phew! They made their decision without needing to see/speak to me, and I won’t be reviewed again until 2030. Very relieved!

…I have to make. Every single day I have to balance my energy, symptoms, and basic needs. This means making decisions that may not always align with me ethically. While I wish I could make different choices, I have to go with what is most accessible, and Amazon is often what works best for me. 3/3

I’d prefer not to use Amazon, but I have a severe energy impairing disability and I’m predominantly housebound. I can’t shop locally. I rarely have the energy to search online for alternatives. I don’t want to rely on my mum/carer for… 1/3
