CC&E's Earth Scan Lab published this image of Tropical Storm Imelda and Hurricane Humberto earlier today.

DOCS' Paul Miller says the close proximity of the two storm systems is unusual.

"In fact, Humberto is expected to "tug" Imelda to the east and away from the U.S. coastline," he said.

New paper alert!

Silt and clay look the same combined in the estuarine mud of the Delta. But differentiating between them could help researchers understand delta dynamics

MissDelta's Giulio Mariotti may have found a way to do just that

We’ve got a signal!

LSU researchers had a chance to test out the new High Frequency (HF) Radar 13 MHz antennae in Grand Isle and Buras of Louisiana last week. Each radar station stretches about 25 feet into the air and has a range of ~90 km, or 56 miles. 🧵
