The further upstream you can find leverage the more control you have downstream.

Fun little afternoon, Pihole, tailgate.

Easy SSH in, deployed the discord bot for persistence.

Not too shabby for a lil RasPi...

Will keep pushing it over the next week with more orchestration.

@deadmau5.com honest question...

Is My Pet Coelacanth a ragtime tune wearing an electro prog tune suit?...

I don't find elegant solutions.

I make them prove themselves.

Was interested in building some home infra so I pulled out the old RasPi 3.

Two hours later; I have a plan.

Should have everything of mine deployed by the weekend...

Sounds like a problem for DevOps Me.....

You don't just ask "does it work?"

You ask "what is it actually doing and why?"

The second question gets you further.

Constraints for me. If I can constrain something enough, it frees itself.

I love the retention of knowledge i get from solving my own friction.

The stakes feel real...

If im learning a new concept to solve my own friction I just remember it better.

Plus the freeing feeling of saving hours and hours after frontloading a little extra.

Build the thing that removes friction for yourself.

Infra, tooling, whatever...

Live deep inside your problems and solve them sideways.

Isn't it all just about pieces already existing and some how composing it all together.

Even if its a little messy along the way

The best Blueprint sessions happen after the architecture is already decided on paper.

By the time I place nodes I'm not designing anymore, I'm just making the machine honest.

Been building in silence for a while. Systems designer, self-taught, cook by night. Working on a dungeon crawler in UE5 under AfterHPZero, more on that when it's ready. Also do ML research and tooling apparently. This is where I start talking about it.
