Dear Mayor Wilson and CEO Santoff, I implore you to please deny the use of City Light energy for the guzzling AI data centers reported by the Seattle Times today (4/10/2026). These data centers would be profiting off our public goods using a purported 1/3 of city energy that doesn’t particularly benefit the citizens of Seattle. As your neighbor and tax payer in Capitol Hill, this is our city and I find this to be an unacceptable use of energy especially during a time when our state has declared a statewide drought for the first time since 2015 in addition to the general energy crisis fueled by the war. One gotcha for Microsoft Intune admins going down the multi-admin approval route in the wake of the Stryker incident:

It doesn't currently have a way to notify on new requests being created, but a quick workaround is using Log Analytics on the audit log and notify from there.
