For me, people seem to like my characters saying something romantic.
My favourite:
"I am broken."
"I am good at fixing things."

The book cover for The Sarcophagus of Lamia Book 1, by Rebecca E Reyes The picture is of an ethereal blonde woman's resting face, laying back upon red velvet. She has a silver implant in her hair. In front of her is a round, gothic window with gold filigree. Leaves, faces and fish are in the filigree's design. Art by Elora Ladd
The mission is to get a perfectly preserved cadaver with a mysterious implant back to her home world, but will the reward be worth it?

Raven is all for it. If someone does her wrong they need to be prepared, because she will come at them with a sword.
And she finds it very satisfying.
(It was very cathartic having Raven say and do things in a few bad situations that I couldnt irl).
Polo catches up with an old friend as the city teeters on the brink.
From an action-comedy novel about the adventures of a girl, a small robot, and the heist crew they call family.

A 21st century adaptation of the 10 of Swords. A woman lies on her side in a desolate landscape impaled by 10 swords, only she doesn't seem to notice her predicament as her attention is on the cell phone she is holding.
I've had this image tucked away on my hard drive for the past ten years. I found it again a couple of days ago and what do you know, - nothing has changed.
The 10 of Swords, - the 21st century version.
Yeah, they did not escape quietly! π

So, my laptopβs hardware issues were a lot worse than I expected. About 95% of my writing is only accessible via flash drives/external hard drives.
I SHOULD be able to pay it and still break even, but anything to help recup my losses Iβd be so grateful for.
Thank you β€οΈ

Raven always thinks he's so confident, when she finds out from someone else that he's not on the inside, she tries to make him feel better.
#AwesomeCharacters
Raven bottles up her mistakes and tries to move on. She feels guilt and is not good at talking it out. She is often angry at herself, but Trig helps.
Trig feels self doubt a lot, he always feels like he's making mistakes and ruining things, but Raven sometimes helps him.
That is a good point!
In my first book there was definitely some things from me that came out, that I didn't even realise I had locked up.
I agree. I can't keep some politics out. Both my books have a bit of social injustice, abuse of power coupled with misogyny, and there are a few things that I make digs at about our world that I don't like.
