Years ago I decided that taking one day off after travel to recover, do laundry, etc, was an overall gain in work efficiency for the week following a trip. I highly recommend this strategy! Also I am terrible at actually implementing it and I may need to file a formal complaint against myself.

When I was a kid & we were getting ready to drive to Nova Scotia from Windsor I’d plot elaborate routes to avoid 401 thru Toronto cuz it was always hell (40 years ago - wasn’t bike lanes folks). Basically I was inventing the 407. Parents never listened to me so we crawled in sat morning summerheat.
