@knowrogan.bsky.social listening to your Epstein Files episode, Cecil said "no one pleads guilty if they are innocent". I am absolutely not defending Epstein, but, sadly, innocent people plead guilty at an alarming rate, especially, it seems, in the US.

Additionally, decrying nuclear "science" as not real, but calling it nuclear "engineering" is hilarious. Using that terminology we'd could say "climate engineering", instead of "climate science", which is something else completely, and would have the same people up in arms ๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐คฃ
@knowrogan.bsky.social listening to your episode on the Peter Thiel interview. The bit on Thiel's attitude to climate "science" immediately made me think of this ๐
@knowrogan.bsky.social listening to your episode on the Ian Carroll interview. The bit on Rogan's "research" immediately made me this of this ๐
I do love Misery Business, but crushcrushcrush earns an honourable mention ๐

The bromance between Elon Musk and Nigel Farage is in trouble
It's my favourite secular holiday ๐ฌ
Judas Priest? (only lead singer Rob I know if the top of my head ๐ and only because of the track he did with Skid Row - think it was a b-side on the Youth Gone Wild CD single that I owned)
Would have guessed W.A.S.P. with Crimson Idol, but that was '92

Could you try that again in English? Maybe a little punctuation? ๐คจ
Taking the general theme of your analogy, at best the cookie is evidence of a baker, but it offers no evidence of who the baker is. But, as has been pointed out, using something known to be created as a comparison is fallacious.
Now, I'm not saying they are cool, or anything, but I see room for them in a secular celebration of the winter holiday, whatever you choose to call it.
I'm going to disagree, somewhat ๐ we use advent calendars as a countdown to christmas (my favourite secular holiday ๐). And I know what advent is ๐๐ป my kids' calendars have no religious imagery, in fact, one's not even a calendar, just a regular box of 24 chocolates.
A non-interventionist god/creator makes way more sense than the gods of any of the major religions. It's where, for me, the argument that "we must have been created, so my religion is the one true religion" falls down.
But, by the same definition, one cannot say for certain that they *do* exist.
I would also say, however, that, on the balance of probability, no gods exist ๐
I would describe myself as an agnostic atheist. I do not believe in gods, but I cannot say for certain they do not exist. All gods, to the best of my knowledge, are defined in terms that are unfalsifiable. On that basis, one cannot say for certain they do not exist.
Christmas is my favourite secular holiday ๐
*any of them ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
Not sure how many religious people follow me, but I had a question for any of then.
How would my life be better if I accepted your particular god?
#atheist #atheism
Ah yes, the trusty "no true Scotsman" fallacy ๐
And, just to reiterate, atheists no more believe in demons than they do in gods ๐

You understand that atheists don't believe in satan, right? That would be christians ๐
