Hi Bluesky — I’m a Pennsylvania wildlife photographer focusing mostly on birds and small moments in nature.

I’ve been away from this account for a while but figured it was time to revive it. I’ll be sharing some of my favorite photos from the past year over the next few days — keep an eye out.

They hunt mostly by sound and fly low over fields listening for voles.

We discovered a set of ponds owned by a HoA yesterday that was full of Snow Geese. We spent an hour or so watching them from the walkway and snapped some pictures. I like this one as three birds were circling the pond look for a spot to park. #birds #snowgeese #lancasterpa

I think snowy landscape sometimes let you spot things you might otherwise miss. For example, this beautiful Red Fox was spotted trotting along a stream in a field that is usually many shades of browns this time of year and I imagine it would make the fox very hard to see on any other day. #nature

Here is a picture of a Red Shouldered Hawk at Gettysburg National Battlefield in Pennsylvania. I watched him from a tree and knew he was looking at something but didn’t know what he saw or when he’d make his move. Here he is right before attack. Unfortunately he missed! But still a cool shot. #birds
