Also I erase a lot of my lines when I sketch so there is less clutter to my eyes. I have been trying to leave them in to show my process but it's hard.

Call me weird but I like drawing wood grains. I did a little morning stream and busted out some of these quickly using different types of wood as my reference. This will eventually become an ad break screen.

The first study is of a horses face, the point was to study the nose, the next to sketch is a horses tail swishing, the point to study hair because I am horrible with hair. The last study is of a horse hoof, so I could study the shape from the side.

Forgot to update some sketches from a few days back. I'm back from vaycay so I plan on doing a lot of sketching. I explained the sketches in the alt text.

Well I'll probably post a process video, but there's a lot of careful layering with glaze. Then some sgraffito (etching). And then refilling the lines with more glaze like this:

Clifford's Tower, York for #ADoorableThusday. The forebuilding provided the protected entrance to the tower at York castle. The present structure was rebuilt in the 17th century but it retains a 13th century chapel on the 1st floor.

Here is what I gathered... I'm getting better at sketching and I think my own personal sketching streams help. I need to do more.
