Being autistic is exhausting at least in part because you don't get a break from your own thoughts.

Disabled/neurodivergent people are worthy of living regardless of whether they have a job or pay taxes or not.

We need less "I'm autistic and I work/pay taxes" in response to RFK Jr's comments and more "autistic people are still valuable even if they can't do those things." We can't leave anyone behind in our efforts to "prove" a eugenicist wrong.

Autistic people that are nonverbal and uninterested in interaction also deserve support, accessibility, and have the right to live. Period. Your ability to make money or contribute to society isn't what gives you the right to live comfortably. Existing does. Capitalist nonsense be damned.

If you believe that only the “fit” should survive and the rest are excusable deaths, that’s eugenics. Every life is important. Every disabled person is worthy of life. Disability is part of nature. If you live long enough, you will become disabled. We’re all vulnerable and all valuable.

It's especially annoying because nine times out of ten it locks characters into a allohetero ideal as their endgame & it kills my interest

Like don't get me wrong I like a happy ending but I prefer ones where the characters still have lots of unknown possibilities in front of them and I get to imagine what might happen in their future

Is anyone tired of how much fictional media feels it has to end with revealing how the characters lives turn out and who they end up with and how they have 2.5 kids or whatever?
