Really enjoyed my attendance at BIPOC Pop. The power of story to change the world is something we all need to remember.
Black history is American history. That’s why I’m proud to have contributed to The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History AP African American Studies Guide—a free resource to support students and educators.

One of the great pleasure of having Jaime Hernandez on campus is hearing and seeing his pleasure at our engagement with comics across the curriculum. #comics #msuenglish @cssorg.bsky.social @msumuseum.bsky.social
A photo collage of Jaime Hernandez visiting the MSU library special collection. Image depict Hernandez being given a tour and examine rare comic books.
One highlight of Jaime Hernandez’s visit to Michigan State University was his visit to MSU Libraries Comics Art Collection. Our collection is the largest publicly accessible repository of comic books in the world.
The Town That Freedom Built: Black Labor, Black Townships and Afrofuturist Imaginaries offered me, Scot French, Michelle Gibbs and Walter Greason a chance to explore the intersection of black spaces and black imaginaries. We got great engagement from our audience. #ASALH2025

I really appreciated the discussion in "A Decade of Black Erasure: Social Media since 2015" organized by @WalterdGreason. This was a lively discourse that highlighted the need for a space like ASALH to support #digital humanities and generative A.I. discussion
One highlight of #ASAHL25 was having Tim Fielder do a live action drawing during my talk. My thanks to @walterdgreason.bsky.social for his effort putting together such as dynamic series of panels.
