About Classic Bittic Chapter 10: Pronouns and Names
Classic Bittic has four pronouns. (from left-to-right top-to-bottom) 1st person singular “I/me” 2nd person singular “you” 3rd person singular “they/them” spaceship These pronouns can be duplicated to indicate plurality. 1st person plural “us/we”
Names in Classic Bittic are formed by attaching content words to pronouns. The exact pronoun used depends on who is saying the name and who is addressed. 1sg comet “I, Comet.” a declaration 2sg heart book “You, Book Lover.” to address someone 3sg arm strong “They, Strong Arm.” to talk about someone
Ship names work the same way. (Side and front profile of a chemprop spaceship) ship clockwise temperature zero “Before Freezing”
About Classic Bittic - Chapter 10. Bittic's human pronons are just representations of fingers pointing at people, and of course Bittic has a pronoun just for spaceships. #conlang
